Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by your driver guide and driven to The Tribe Hotel. Check in, freshen up, and relax after the long flight. Dinner followed by overnight at the hotel.

Day 2Nairobi to Amboseli

After an early breakfast today, pick up by our driver guide from your hotel and commence the journey southwards by road to Amboseli National Park famous for its spectacular views of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).

Arrive at Amboseli Park in good time to enjoy game viewing until 1 pm when you proceed to your lodge for check in and to enjoy a delicious meal of lunch. After lunch, relax at your lodge until 4pm in the evening, when you depart for an evening game-viewing drive in the park.
Amboseli National Park is at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, It is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks lying 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of the Amboseli. Amboseli National Park offers you the opportunity to view – herds of elephant, buffalo, leopard, cheetah and if lucky you will spot the lion.

Later at 6pm return back to Amboseli Sopa Lodge/ Similar to freshen up, followed by dinner and overnight.

Day 3Amboseli to Nakuru

After breakfast, check out of the lodge then commence the drive to Nakuru. You will have a short stopover on the way to stretch your legs. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/ Similar by 2pm in time for lunch and check in at the lodge. After lunch, relax for a while until 4pm, when you proceed with the evening game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park.

The drive takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife, especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake
Lake Nakuru National Park is also a world-class bird-watching safari destination and fondly referred to as the bird watcher’s paradise, the Park has more than 25 black rhinoceros plus around 70 white rhinos. There are also several Rothschild’s giraffes, Waterbuck, lions, cheetahs, and leopards as well as flamingos. The park has a myriad of other bird species that inhabit the lake and the area surrounding it, such as the African fish eagle, goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher, and Verreaux eagle.

Later in the evening drive back to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge to freshen up and enjoy a sumptuous meal of dinner followed by overnight.

Day 4Lake Nakuru National Park to the Masai Mara

Today, depart after breakfast and check out by 7:00 a.m., then commence the journey by road towards Narok. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint area before continuing the journey to the Masai Mara.
On arrival at the Masai Mara, proceed to check in at Mara Sopa Lodge, relax, and enjoy lunch.

Later, proceed for an evening game drive at 4 pm. Masai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve; the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoins Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is home to numerous wildlife species, including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog, and zebra. Later, after sunset, by 6.30 pm, return back to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Full Day in the Masai Mara game reserve

After breakfast, depart Mara Sopa Lodge with picnic lunch boxes and proceed to spend the full day in the Maasai Mara, with game drives in the morning and afternoon and following the migration routes.
It sure is a sight to behold to see the animals in their natural habitats and in their elements. It can be a humbling experience, but also an amazing one, to visit with these incredible beasts!

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. Later, drive back to Mara Sopa Lodge to arrive at the hotel in good time for dinner, followed by overnight.

Day 6Masai Mara to Naivasha to Nairobi -Departure

This will be your final day of stay in the Masai Mara. After breakfast, check out of the lodge at 7:00am then commence the drive to Naivasha. You will arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge by 1:00pm in time for lunch at the lodge.

After lunch, relax for a while until 2:30pm, when you proceed for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake that covers an area of 132 kilometers with the deepest point at Crescent Island at a maximum depth of 30 meters deep. The boat ride and sightseeing in Crescent Island is for one and a half hours and you get to see hippos, crocodiles, and water-based birds among other species. Your guide will take you through the history, the surrounding people’s lifestyles, and the land features surrounding the lake.

Crescent Island is one of the few places in Naivasha where the fauna and flora have been protected for over 40 years. This has been achieved by anti-poaching patrols, de-snaring, tree planting, animal feeding and monitoring, education, grass seeding, and weekly rubbish collections. On completion of the Island tour, you will return back to the lake shore where your driver will be waiting for you.

Later, commence the journey to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be driven to the airport to catch your scheduled flight back home. End of services!
