Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Nairobi Overnight

Upon arrival in Nairobi with your scheduled flight at 0615hrs, you will be met by your driver guide then after a short briefing on your tour program, commence the drive to your hotel located 20 kilometers from the airport.

You are set to arrive at the Silver springs Hotel in good time to check-in and then spend the rest of the day at leisure at the hotel. Lunch, dinner and breakfast – the next day are included.

Day 2Nairobi / to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast today by – 9am, depart from your hotel and drive through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Nakuru town. You are set to arrive by – 11.30am and in good time to check-in at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge then relax and later enjoy a meal of lunch.

After lunch, relax until 3pm when you depart to enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. We will proceed for a long afternoon game drive until evening at 6pm then drive back to the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Lake Nakuru National Park offers good sightings of – Rhino, Warthog, monkeys, antelopes and lion

Day 3Lake Nakuru to Naivasha

Early breakfast today by 7am then check-out from the hotel and proceed for game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park as you drive out of the Park.

We should be exiting the park by – 10.30am and drive to Lake Naivasha where you arrive in good time to check-in at the Lake Naivasha Country Club and later enjoy a meal of lunch.

After lunch short relaxation and then at 3pm, proceed for a 1 hour boat ride at Lake Naivasha enjoying views of hippos and numerous birds as the guide takes you through the history of the island and other attractions found nearby. Return to the lodge will be in the evening by 5pm to freshen up then dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Visit Hells Gate

Breakfast at the hotel today by – 8am then relax at leisure until 10am when your driver guide will pick you for a tour to the Hells Gate National Park. This tour will take you about-2 hours to go up to the gorges and walk through the park with the guide explaining to you various land features and vegetation unique to Hells Gate.

Afterwards, drive back to your resort and you are set to arrive at Lake Naivasha Country Club by 1.30pm in good time for lunch. Later after lunch, you can spend your afternoon leisure time by swimming at the pool or take a rest. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club.

Day 5Naivasha / to Masai Mara National Game Reserve

Depart Naivasha after early breakfast by 7.30am and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara game reserve, arriving at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch at 1pm.

After lunch, freshen up and relax after the drive from Naivasha until when temperatures have cooled down then at – 4pm depart and drive to the park to enjoy evening game drives in the reserve.

The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them.

We will return back to the lodge in the evening at 6pm then you can freshen up followed by dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6, 7, 8 Full Days of Game Viewings at the Maasai Mara

After breakfast today, we will depart from the lodge with picnic lunch boxes and then drive to the Masai Mara for an extended – full day game viewing.

The Masai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoins Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem.

We will have a welcome break in the jungle at a picnic site and enjoy lunch from our lunch boxes. Afterwards, proceed on with game viewings until early evening at 4.30pm.

The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is home to numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. Return to lodge will be by 5pm. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 9Masai Mara / to Isebania Border / to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the hotel by – 7am, check-out with picnic lunch boxes and commence the drive towards the Tanzania border. We drive to Narok and then drive south to Kisii town and then continue the drive to Migori and further on to the Isebania border.

The driver will find a spot en-route where you can enjoy a meal of lunch from your lunch boxes.

You are set to arrive at the border by – 3pm then proceed with border formalities and afterwards you cross to the Tanzania border where you will be met by our company representative based in Tanzania.

We then proceed with the drive in Tanzania and move from Tarime on to Serengeti. The road is rugged and we drive through the park towards the Serengeti Kati Kati Camp where you will arrive in the evening in time to check-in then freshen up and enjoy a meal of dinner followed by overnight at the camp.

Day 10Full Day Serengeti National Park

This is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. This days you have full day of game viewing.

The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Interestingly, even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. A visit to the Serengeti guarantees you views of great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants, giraffe and thousands upon thousands of eland topi, kongoni, impala and Grant Gazelle.

The Serengeti is an open plain which means animals can be seen from a great distance away. It boasts of high wild animal numbers and it is very vast which means even when you stay for a week here, you could do game drives in different areas with many features and animals to explore.

All meals and overnight at the Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 13Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast today, depart with picnic lunch boxes and drive for 3 hours to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend down the steep walls of the caldera for game viewing in the Ngorongoro National Park.

The Park is a paradise of woodlands and lakes that provide for abundant wildlife. Gazelle, buffalo, elephants, wildebeest as well as big cats, particularly the black manned lion, leopards and hyena. A multitude of birds including flamingos are sighted regularly. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro crater has been called a Garden of Eden.

Day 13Ngorongoro to Arusha / to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast today, early departure by 7am with picnic lunch boxes and commence the drive to Arusha where you are set to arrive by 11am and then proceed on to the border town – Namanga where you should arrive by 1pm. Proceed with border clearance and then you are met by our company representative on the Kenyan border town and proceed on with the drive to Amboseli National Park where you will arrive in the evening by – 6pm and in good time to check in at the – Amboseli AA lodge and then freshen up and enjoy dinner followed by overnight.

Day 14Full Day Amboseli National Park

After breakfast today by – 9am, depart from the lodge with picnic lunch boxes and proceed for an extended game drive to explore the Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli National Park located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli.

You return to the Amboseli National Park in the evening by 4pm and in good time to freshen up and then relax at leisure. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner followed by overnight at the lodge.

Day 15Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

Early breakfast by 7am and then depart with picnic lunch boxes to the Tsavo West National Park where you are set to arrive by – 11am and in time to proceed direct with game drives.

Tsavo West has a more varied topography and a more diverse array of habitats than its neighbor Tsavo East. The park’s habitats include open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi desert scrub, acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops and more extensive ranges and isolated hills with belts of riverine vegetation.

At Tsavo West you have the chance to view; Leopard, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, plains game, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu and porcupine. The park has a prolific birdlife featuring up to 600 recorded species.

You will drive to the hotel in the evening at 5pm to check-in and then freshen up and enjoy dinner followed by overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Day 16Tsavo / Departure to Nairobi

Today we have an early breakfast by 7am then check out with picnic lunch boxes and proceed to explore Tsavo West National Park. The mornings are good for game drives since most of the wild animals like to hunt early offering you the chance to see lion, cheetah and numerous birds in the morning.

Afterwards at around 9am, drive to the Mzima springs. This is the source of Mombasa’s – cool and clear waters where hippos and crocodiles bathe. You will be guided by a KWS ranger who will explain to you the purpose of the project and how they have integrated water harvesting with environmental conversation and turned the project in to a major tourist attraction in Tsavo West.

Afterwards, proceed to check-out of the Tsavo West National Park and drive-on to Nairobi where you will arrive in the evening by – 6pm and in good time for drop off at your place of residence.
