3 Days – Samburu Experience

Pick up in the morning from your place of residence in Nairobi by a Chiral Afrique Company representative, and after a short briefing about the safari, commence the drive north through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantations to the cool Kenyan highlands to arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in good time to check in, followed by a sumptuous lunch.

Wild and rugged, Samburu National Reserve is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely river Ewaso Nyiro. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to the ‘special five’ species only found north of the equator; the Reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, Beisa oryx, Gerenuk gazelles, Somali ostriches, Greater and lesser kudus.

After lunch, relax for a while, then at 4 pm proceed for a thrilling evening game drive at the reserve till the sun sets, then drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Depart from your hotel after breakfast with picnic lunch boxes and proceed to spend the full day in the reserve with game drives at Buffalo Springs game reserve in the morning and Samburu National Reserve in the afternoon hours.

Game drives are done through the open grass in search of a variety of wildlife in their natural habitats. Here, you can enjoy a great eye view of more wonderful animals in the reserve, including elephants, African leopards, Lions, cape buffaloes, cheetahs, as they stroll through the savannah and over 400 different bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you continue with the game drives.

In the evening, you will return to Samburu Sopa Lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and have an overnight stay.

This will be your final day of the safari. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and commence the drive back to Nairobi. You will have a stopover en route to stretch your legs before continuing your drive. Upon arrival, drop off at your place of residence in Nairobi. End of Services!
