7 Days Great Rift Valley Lakes and Masai Mara Experience

Upon arrival via a night flight in Nairobi, you will be met by a Chiral Afrique Travel representative. After a short briefing on your stay, drive to Azure Pride Inn hotel, arriving in good time for check-in. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Our driver guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Nairobi and commence the journey by road towards Narok. You will have a stop-over at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint area, then continue the journey.

You are set to arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.

After lunch, proceed to check in, freshen up then relax after the long journey. Later, proceed for an evening game drive at 4.00pm.

Masai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve; the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoins Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is home to numerous wildlife species, including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. Later, after sunset, by 6.30pm, return back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart your lodge with picnic lunch boxes and spend the full day in the Maasai Mara, with game drives in the morning and afternoon. The Masai Mara welcomes 1.5 million wildebeests onto its sprawling savannahs each July through October. The National Reserve and conservancies are brimming with life and offer safari travelers an exiting game viewing experience.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. Later, drive back to Jambo Mara Safari Lodge to arrive in good time for dinner, followed by overnight.

After breakfast, depart your lodge with picnic lunch boxes and spend the full day in the Maasai Mara, with game drives in the morning and afternoon. It sure is a sight to see the animals in their natural habitats and elements. It can be a humbling experience, but also an amazing one, to visit these incredible beasts!

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. Later, drive back to Jambo Mara Safari Lodge to arrive in good time for dinner, followed by overnight.

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and you will be picked up by your driver guide at 8.30am. Then, commence the journey by road towards Naivasha.

You are set to arrive at Lake Naivasha Resort by 1.30pm to check in, freshen up and enjoy a sumptuous meal of lunch.

At 3.00pm proceed for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha with a visit to Crescent Island. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake that covers an area of 132 kilometers with the deepest point at Crescent Island at a maximum depth of 30 meters deep. The boat ride and sightseeing in Crescent Island is for one and a half hours and you get to see hippos, crocodiles, and water-based birds among other species. Your guide will take you through the history, the surrounding people’s lifestyles, and the land features surrounding the lake.

Crescent Island is one of the few places in Naivasha where the fauna and flora have been protected for over 40 years. This has been achieved by anti-poaching patrols, de-snaring, tree planting, animal feeding and monitoring, education, grass seeding, and weekly rubbish collections. On completion of the Island tour, you will return back to the lake shore by 6.30pm where your driver will be waiting for you.

Later in the evening, return back to the resort, followed by dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, check out of the resort and commence the journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National park and enjoy a mid-morning game drive from 10.00am to 1.00pm and later proceed to Lake Nakuru Sopa Resort to enjoy a meal of lunch.

Lake Nakuru National Park is also a world-class bird-watching safari destination and fondly referred to as the bird watcher’s paradise, the Park has black rhinoceros plus numerous white rhinos. There are also several Rothschild’s giraffes, Waterbuck, lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as flamingos.

The park has a myriad of other bird species that inhabit the lake and the area surrounding it, such as the African fish eagle, goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher, and Verreaux eagle.
Later after lunch, depart by 2.30pm and commence the drive to Lake Elementaita where you will arrive by 3.30pm to explore the lake.

Lake Elementaita is a shallow, alkaline lake in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, located between Lakes Naivasha and Nakuru, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its high bird diversity, including thousands of flamingos and pelicans.

Later, commence the journey back to Nairobi. You are set to arrive Nairobi in the evening where you will be taken to Azure Pride Inn hotel to check in and enjoy a sumptuous dinner then overnight.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the airport in time to check-in and relax at the lounge waiting for your scheduled morning flight. End of services!
