After breakfast you will be picked at the hotel and proceed with your tour to discover Mahe, the main Island of the archipelago in a day! Our knowledgeable team are sure to showcase the highlights of the island. Start with a visit at the centre of Victoria, the world’s smallest capital. First stop is at the brightly painted Hindu temple, a distinguished structure differentiated by its unique design. A place where the faithful join for prayer. A few more steps across the road and we will come upon the colourful market, filled with fresh fruits & vegetables, a variety of fish and local spices; the perfect combination for an appetizing creole dish. The tour then takes a turn to the prominent Clock Tower, one of the most iconic historical features of Seychelles. Inaugurated since 1903, it is set in the middle of a cross-section in the town centre, impossible to miss.
Another interesting place to visit is the Botanical Garden. This beautiful haven is just 5 minutes out of Victoria, accommodating the rarest endemic flora of the island and home to some spirited land tortoises. There’s bound to be plenty of postcard worthy pictures to take back home. This is all part of an exciting morning designed to work up your appetite before settling for lunch at Creole Cuisine Restaurant . Our last stop will be at Domaine de Val des Pres (craft village) or to one of the stunning beaches of Seychelles.
Later return to your Resort for overnight.
Embark with us on an island spotting journey just fifteen minutes from Victoria. First up, Hodoul Island, a nesting place for Cattle Egret birds. Let’s carry on to Ste. Anne Marine National Park which encompasses five islands, namely Cerf Island, Ile Cachée, Round Island, Moyenne Island, Long Island and of course St. Anne Island. A chance to unveil the beautiful marine life hidden under the cloak of the Indian Ocean in a glass bottomed boat. Snorkel amongst the colourful fish, maybe spot an eel here and there. An iconic resident of the island, Yellow, a lovely canine who is forever digging in the sand will be sure to welcome you ashore. A great company when hiking across Moyenne island for a visit to the nursery where adult and tortoises as well as their young are nurtured. You may even come across the beautiful pair of peacocks chasing each other in a never-ending love story before tracing your way back down the steps to the beach for a delicious creole buffet lunch. Later return to the Resort for an overnight stay.
This special trip takes you to the mystical home of our Coco de Mer nut – ‘The Vallée de Mai’, a UNESCO World Heritage site on Praslin Island. A walk through this mysterious palm forest with its pure invigorating air and natural beauty is unlike any other. One could be easily forgiven for assuming that it could have been the legendary Garden of Eden. The tour carries with a short stop at Anse Lazio, one of the best beaches in the world before going back to the jetty.
Taking the boat to La Digue island for a sumptuous Creole style lunch. An informative visit to the timeless L’Union Estate, where the old agricultural processing method is preserved. The traditional copra mill built to extract virgin coconut oil following the laborious dehusking of the coconut and extraction of the flesh from the shell. A quick stop by the Art gallery in the basement of the iconic Grann Kaz, a historical 19th century French Colonial Plantation House where the famous movie from 1977 ‘Goodbye Emmanuel’ was filmed. Meet the giant tortoise before passing through the vanilla plantation on your way to Anse Source D’Argent. Afterwards, you will be dropped off at your hotel for the overnight.
Today after breakfast, you will have the day free for leisure. You can decide to use the hotel amenities or go for shopping. Overnight at your Resort.
